Joe Steigerwald is the nephew of Pittsburgh Penguins announcer Paul Steigerwald, former KDKA sports anchor John Steigerwald and former newspaper magnate Bill Steigerwald and thus is more qualified than anyone else to have a media blog.
Born in Hollywood, California, Joe is a 2008 graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville. Joe lives vicariously through the Steigerwald name, using it as both a pick-up line and as a bullet point on his resume. He has owned and operated the Rolling Scone blog since 2002, which recently was
transformed into Triple Threat Media, re-animated as Slander or Libel. In 2007 he was a member of the prestigious Newsbusters team in Alexandria, Virginia, working at the Media Research Center. By virtue of that internship he is one of only 12 people on earth to have been paid to blog.
Joe Steigerwald is editor CEO and only employee of Slander o rLibel. As CEO he gets to write about whatever he wants.
He also designs the website (with help from blogspot...) and creates the logo.
